WHAT IS BULLYING?
Bullying is a situation in which a person uses strength or influence to hurt or intimidate others.
Bullying is a word social problem and it happens in every school. Bullying includes calling people names, taking things away from them, damaging their belongings, sending people offensive phone calls or notes, threats and intimidation.
WHY IS BULLYING HARMFUL?
Some people think bullying is just part of growing up and a way for young people to learn to defend themselves. But bullying can make young people feel lonely, unhappy, and frightened. It makes them feel there is something wrong with them. They lose confidence and they may not want to go to school anymore.
ARE YOU BEING BULLIED?
No matter how bad you feel you need to know that there are a lot of things you can do:

O PASSADO CONTÍNUO - 7º ano
No 3º bimestre estudaremos o Passado Contínuo.
O Past Continuous é um tempo verbal que usamos para nos referir a ações que estavam ocorrendo no passado ou que foram interrompidas.
Exemplos:
- Steve was talking on phone. = Steve estava falando ao telefone.
- She was watching Tv when her mother arrived.
Sujeito + Verbo To Be no passado (was/were) + Verbo no gerúndio (-ing) + Complemento.
Vale lembrar a conjugação do verbo To Be no passado:
I - Was
You - Were
He - Was
She - Was
It - Was
We - Were
You - Were
They – Were
Forma Interrogativa
Basta trocarmos o sujeito e o verbo auxiliar (To be) de posição. Exemplo:
- Steve was talking on phone. (afirmação)
- Was Steve talking on phone? (interrogação)
Forma Negativa
Adicionamos “not” ao verbo To Be. Exemplo:
- Steve was talking on phone. (afirmação)
- Steve wasn’t talking on phone. (negação).
Forma Afirmativa
As frases afirmativas no past contínuous são compostas do sujeito mais o verbo TO BE no passado, seguido do gerúndio do verbo principal. Veja alguns exemplos:
- They were reading (eles estavam lendo)
- I was learning (eu estava aprendendo)
Negações
Para converter uma frase afirmativa do past continuous para negativa, basta apenas adicionar o NOT depois do verbo TO BE:
- They were not (weren’t) reading (eles não estavam lendo)
- I was not (wasn’t) learning (eu não estava aprendendo)
